Democracy

by suarga @ 2008-08-26 - 10:19:23

Tuesday 26th August 2008, I watched CNN report on DNC (Democrat National Convention), it was a big show on Democracy, Barrack Obama will receive next USA president nomination. Supporters come from allover states, from various race and background. They try to change American history, for the first time a black man will be a president, but it is democracy, there is no offends based on skin-color in a democracy, every people has the opportunity to be a president, as long as he/she get majority nomination. So if Obama is chosen to be the next president, the democracy will open a gate to any American to be a president. It is not impossible that in the future, a chinese american, or Iraqi-american, or Japanese american, etc to be nominated.
Sometimes emotional sentiment still affect people feeling, and it feels hurt if a minority become a leader of majority. If Obama is chosen, we should congratulate the Americans, they are true democrat.
I believe that there are still many countries in the world will prevent a minority from their community to be a leader, to prevent non-native to be a leader, etc even though it is a democrat country, isn't it?

From Vancouver to Waterloo

by suarga @ 2008-08-24 - 17:36:06

August 24th 1990, it was my last day in Vancouver, early in the morning I went to the Airport, I took a flight to Toronto using Air Canada. I felt exciting that I would visit Toronto for the first time in my life. One month in Vancouver already gave me experiences with Canadians, they smile when we pass them and some of them greet us, "good morning, nice weather eh". I felt a little sad as the plane took off Vancouver airport, I said to my self that I will back to this city in the future.
About four hours later the plane landed on Toronto airport, after taking my luggage, I went out, and felt the fresh air of Toronto for the first time.
Several hours later I ride a bus to Waterloo, my destination. I was accepted as a student at Computer Science Department Faculty of Mathematics Waterloo University, starting September 1990.
I stayed at dormitory for a week, then I and two other friends move to a house, we rent the house for Can$900 per month, it is on Esson Street close to Kitchener.

Algorithm

by suarga @ 2008-05-04 - 17:34:44

More than a half of my life I spent as a computer programmer, I wrote
programs in various languages such as: FORTRAN, BASIC, COBOL, PL/I,
PASCAL, C, C++, JAVA, VISUAL BASIC, DELPHI, and CSharp. I realize that
the most important thing in programming is the "algorithm", not the
languages' instructions. Languages change as the computer systems change
but the logic of algorithm remain as before.
To those who learn programming, you must master algorithm as the
foundation of programming. There are only three kind of algorithm logics
(1) Sequential such as read, write, compute, etc
(2) Selection such as: if/then/else and switch/case
(3) Repetition such as: for, while/do, repeat/until
If you know how to use these logics then you will master the programming
faster.

my questions

by suarga @ 2007-11-28 - 03:02:37

1. As I read bible I couldn't find any sentences that Yesus proclaimed himself as God,a sentence such as "I am God, who create you and the universe". Can anyone show me?

2. Can any one show me that Yesus instructed us to go to the church on Sunday?

3. Had Yesus ever said that we may disobey the law in the old testament? Can anyone show me his saying about that matters?

I really need the answer of my questions, please.

July 25th, 1990
I was in downtown Vancouver city, BC
As a newcomer to the city, I didn't know where to go, I was alone
in the middle of a big city. First, I walked around the shopping area, then
I looked for a KFC counter, I took my lunch and watched people went around.
I went into Eaton store, and the moved to other stores, until I felt tired.
I left the shopping area and then I went to China town, by foot, I passed
the Gastown, looking around, and at last I bought oranges and apples at
a shop in China-town. In the afternoon I went to UBC, to the library.
I stayed in a dormitory at UBC.
